“Wandering Through San Francisco: Capturing Moments, Memories, and More” Feb 2021
“An Unforgettable Family Adventure: Exploring San Francisco and Beyond!
Our journey began at the airport, going through passport control and claiming our baggage. We decided to rent a spacious Hyundai Santa Fe from Avis for our family of four, making transportation a breeze.
Next on our list was getting a phone and internet line from Target. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get it sorted out, but we remained hopeful for tomorrow. We checked into La Quinta, a hotel conveniently located near the airport, and quickly settled in for the night.
At 1 AM, my daughter, our little one, woke up, and I brought her a snack from the car. As for me, I found myself still wide awake at 4:30 AM, adjusting to the time difference.
The next day, after a delightful breakfast of 2 waffles, 1 apple, and coffee, we visited the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and snapped some lovely photos. We also got a TMobile phone line with unlimited data and 10 GB for sharing.
Later, we explored the charming streets of San Francisco, visiting a local Italian restaurant for some delicious fettuccine. The lemonade didn’t sit well with Son’s stomach, unfortunately.
The following days were filled with more adventures, like visiting the Google and Mozilla offices and walking down the scenic Palermo Avenue. However, finding Apple, Amazon, and Facebook proved to be quite the challenge due to security restrictions.
We managed to explore Stanford University and its shop, indulging in some gourmet chocolates. As for dining, we ventured into local Turkish cuisine and found a spot for Subway sandwiches, a convenient option for family meals.
Our nights were spent at the hotel, where the kids enjoyed microwavable pasta and cereal, and we all adapted to the lack of cutlery. Despite some bumps, we cherished every moment of our San Francisco experience.
Moving on to Los Angeles, we faced heavy traffic but managed to find a delightful market offering various international foods. Daughter enjoyed sarma(turkish food ), Talha tried labneh with bread and fruit juice, Mustafa opted for Tuna fish with fruit juice, and I treated myself to a mocha.
On our way to Los Angeles, we encountered a charming town with local honey and affordable avocados. After stopping at a market for milk and some unique cutlery (combining spoon-like depth and fork-like teeth), we reached our cozy hotel in Bakersfield.
As a family blogger, this journey has been a whirlwind of discoveries, from exploring the vibrant streets of San Francisco to finding hidden gems along the road. Our kids have been troopers, making every moment memorable. Stay tuned for more adventures as we continue our family journey!”
