How I quit my export manager job ? A Memorable Journey: when I was in a Sencon Exhibitor in Dakar, Senegal - 2016

In 2016, I had the incredible opportunity to be an exhibitor at Sencon, the premier international conference for construction, held in the vibrant city of Dakar, Senegal. The experience was nothing short of awe-inspiring, from the bustling atmosphere of the conference to the rich cultural tapestry of Dakar. In this blog post, I’ll take you on a journey through my unforgettable adventure as a Sencon exhibitor in Dakar.

Preparation and Anticipation: Months before the event, as an exhibitor, I was busy preparing to showcase our company’s cutting-edge aluminium outdoor solutions. The anticipation of participating in Sencon, surrounded by industry pioneers and thought leaders, kept me on my toes. My team and I meticulously fine-tuned our presentation, aiming to make a lasting impact on the attendees and potential partners.

Arrival in Dakar: As I landed in Dakar, the allure of this vibrant West African city embraced me instantly. The cultural diversity and warm hospitality of its people created an inviting ambiance. The colorful markets, bustling streets, and distinct aroma of local dishes made Dakar an immersive experience in itself. Weather was very hot during February ☺ because I was at otherside of the world according to Turkiye. Turkish Airlines was good for flying to Dakar. Also our flight stopped at Mauritinia and continue our way. First time , I saw this kind of connection or stop during flight ☺

The Sencon Experience: The Sencon venue buzzed with excitement as exhibitors and attendees from around the world gathered to explore the latest innovations. Our booth was strategically set up to showcase our products and engage visitors effectively. The interactions with professionals from different backgrounds provided valuable insights and networking opportunities.

Exploring Senegal’s Rich Culture: In between exhibition sessions, I took the chance to explore the cultural gems of Senegal. I visited the captivating African Renaissance Monument, experienced the rhythmic beats of traditional Sabar drums, and marveled at the stunning architecture of the Great Mosque of Dakar. The rich history and heritage of Senegal left an indelible mark on my heart. I stayed at Novo hotel and it was same like europian Novo chain hotels👍or IBIS and other Dakar city luxury hotels.

Networking and Collaborations: One of the most rewarding aspects of Sencon was the chance to build connections with like-minded individuals and potential collaborators. The diverse perspectives and ideas exchanged during networking events fueled creativity and innovation. Sencon served as a catalyst for forging partnerships that would later bear fruit in the realm of technology and business.

Impacts and Reflections: As the event came to a close, I couldn't help but reflect on the significant impact Sencon had on my personal and professional growth.
